During the live for the 25th anniversary of the Sonic franchise, SEGA announced the arrival, scheduled for the spring of 2017 for Xbox One , PS4 Sonic Mania , new 2D platformer game dedicated to the famous blue hedgehog which will combine the classic experience of the saga with new levels that will ensure real "twists" .

The company, which will develop the title in conjunction with C hristian Whitehead ("The Taxman") Headcannon and PagodaWest Games, has also made it known that there are three playable characters : Sonic , Knuckles Warrior and two-tailed Fox named Tails .
