Cod: Endless Warfare was the best selling game in the USA (and possibly the world) in 2016

every year there is much talk of the decline of the Call of Duty series, how to sell less of the previous titles and cos ì away, but how are things? The franchise of Activision's really losing the dominance that had on the market? According to the NPD American institution, apparently not.

The famous market analyst firm has released the Top 10 of best-selling games in the U.S. throughout the 2016, and the title of Infinity Ward has emerged winner, being the most desired by American players during the year, despite being released only at the beginning of November. Here's the full list:

1-Call of Duty: Endless Warfare (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
Battlefield 2 - 1 (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
3 - The Division (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
4 - NBA 2K17 (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)
5 - Madden NFL 17 (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)
6 - Grand Theft Auto 5 (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)
7 - Overwatch (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
8 - Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)
9 - 17 FIFA (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)
Final Fantasy 10 - 15 (PS4, Xbox One)

And this record is probably not limited only to the U.S. but there are high chances that is valid throughout the world, at least in the West: in the UK the title has consistently dominated the bestseller lists since launch, so you'd expect that from our hemisphere things haven't changed much.

Interesting to note, however, as the game is followed in second and third place from Battlefield 1 and The Division , a sign that the first or third person shooter genre is still the most popular ever by players.
