EA and DICE have announced today that, starting from Wednesday, 21 March , Star Wars: Battlefront II will be updated with a new system of progression of players who once and for all rid of microtransactions pay-to-win (i.e. allowed players to buy tactical advantages in battle), while introducing a number of new elements that will be the only items available for purchase in the cosmetics game.

EA clearly explains that the new system of progression " the star charts , as well as any other object that affects the gameplay mechanics, can be obtained just by playing and will not be sold ," adding Furthermore, that by April we'll introduce new aspects that will enable us to change the look of heroes and soldiers, acquirable using credits (earned by playing) or the crystals (purchased with real currency).

The microtransactions becomes the "good guy", which is used only for aesthetic elements. You can read more below:

NEW INCOMING PROGRESSION SYSTEM
A major upgrade of Star Wars Battlefront II is ready for take off

All content already obtained and unlocked will be maintained. All star charts, the heroes, weapons and any other content already unlocked will be maintained. This update will take into account all the progress made, so no one will miss anything of what has already been acquired.

The speakers will not include more star cards and will not be sold. The speakers can be obtained by accessing the game every day, completing the goals and through the time trials. Inside the crates will credits or vanity items, like emote or victorious poses, which do not affect gameplay.

Starting in April, it will be possible to get new issues directly with the credits or the crystals. With the new aspects, whose publication is imminent, you can change the look of heroes and soldiers using credits (to be captured by playing) or the crystals (purchased within the game and digital stores First Party). Finally you can play as a Rhodian of resistance and much more!

These changes are an important step in our efforts to improve the core gameplay and add new content. And we have much more planned. In addition to publishing new balancing patch, in the coming months, we will implement other modes in Star Wars Battlefront II which will offer new and exciting gameplay. Some of these, like the recent Load time-limited, are radically different experiences jetpack compared to those seen in the past. We are convinced that they will leave players speechless!

Updating the system of progression of Star Wars Battlefront II will be available on March 21, with new content coming in the following weeks. We are very proud of the direction taken by the game, and we urge all players to join us on this adventure.
