Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales has a release date

After having announced in late August, that the single-player campaign of GWENT would become a stand-alone RPG lasting 30 hours titled Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales , CD Projekt RED has now revealed that the new title will come on our console on 4 December .

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is the single-player campaign of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. With a strong focus on the choices and with a cast of characters, Thronebreaker brings players into the world of The Witcher Monster infested lands. Created by developers who worked on the most iconic moments of The game 3: Wild Hunt , the game revolves around the story of a war veteran and Regal Queen Meve, two Kingdoms: Lyria and Rivia. Faced with the imminent nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to take up arms again and walk in a dark location dominated by destruction and revenge.

Throughout the adventure, players will explore unknown parts of the world of The Witcher, venturing into many exciting quest with characters with personalities. All while you raccolglieranno resources to expand your army and will be fought in battles with the combat system based on the skill of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game.

The developers have also announced that same day, on 4 December, GWENT: The Witcher Card Game will be released finally out of beta and will receive the biggest upgrade in the history of the game, Homecoming . This introduces significant changes, bringing back some items that have popularized the original Gwent in The Witcher community 3. The update will include feedback from players during the public beta period. Homecoming also includes a complete retelling of the playing field that becomes a three-dimensional arena with two separate files, improved the graphics of the game returning to be aligned to the darkness and the rawness of the world of The Witcher, a new bouquets creation system and new gameplay mechanics.
