Tonight Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have finally lifted the veil to Marvel's Avengers, new action game dedicated to the Avengers that we now know to be coming on May 15; Not many details have been released on the title, but we know that it will be playable in four-player online co-op and that over time new free scenarios are coming that will expand the story with additional quests and locations.

Marvel's Avengers begins during a-Day, when Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow and Thor reveal their new hi-tech base in San Francisco, including a new Helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The festivities turn into a catastrophe with devastating results and, accused for the tragedy, the Avengers dissolve. Five years later, with all the superheroes now outlawed and the world in danger, the only hope for mankind is that the most powerful heroes on Earth gather together.

The announcement is accompanied by an in-engine trailer that, in addition to the capabilities of the graphics engine, also shows us how these versions of the Avengers will not have the features of the movie heroes; Obviously this does not prevent him from being fully recognizable.
