Rumor: BioWare prepares an Anthem 2.0, new Mass Effect in development

The last few years have certainly not been generous to BioWare: EA's studio has in fact received much criticism for both their Mass Effect: Andromeda and the highly anticipated Anthem, failing in both cases to meet the expectations of critics and audiences. It is therefore essential now that they take centre stage with the next titles, starting with the new Dragon Age; but it seems they are preparing further arrows for their bow.

According to two different rumors that have been circulating lately, in fact, the Canadian studio would be working on two additional projects. One of these would be Anthem 2.0,a complete overhaul of their sci-fi looter shooter that would include the complete redesign of game areas, mechanics and gameplay systems to overturn the title and make it closer to players' expectations. However, this would be a long-term project and we do not know when it will see the light of day; obviously it would be a free upgrade to the current game and not a new title.

The other rumor is also related to the beginning of the development of a new Mass Effect, directed by Anthem producer Seth Gamble; However, nothing is known about this project except that, in fact, it is at the beginning of development. It is assumed that with this title BioWare wants to bring the series back to tracks more pleasing to historical fans of the series.

For now, there is no further information on this, but we hope that both projects will finally be able to give us what we want from both sci-fi series; you just have to wait!
