The FIFA 20 World Cup will be held in Milan in February

FIFA and Electronic Arts announced today that the FIFA eClub World Cup will take place from February 7-9 at East End Studiosin Milan, with the top 24 teams in the world fighting for the title. The five online qualifying rounds have decided the 24 best teams that, after a qualification with 190 teams from all over the planet, will be able to compete for the final victory in the event in Milan.

For the first time in Italy, the FIFA eClub World Cup - FIFA's most important competitive club event - will feature three Italian teams: Mkers, AS Roma and Team QLASH will compete against the other 21 teams from Mexico, Germany, England, Spain, France, Japan, the United States and many other countries. The official list of finalist teams is available on the official website.

The event will also feature some of the world's best players, including Xbox World Ranking Leader Donovan 'Tekkz' Hunt (Fnatic) and PlayStation Ranking Diego 'Crazy' Campagnani (QLASH Team),as well as 2017 World Champion Spencer 'Gorilla' Ealing (NEO)and 2015 World Champion Abdulaziz 'Mr.

In addition to the participation of new teams, the event will see eight clubs already present in previous editions:

  • Manchester City eSports (2017, 2019, 2020)
  • FaZe Clan (2019, 2020)
  • Olympique Lyonnais (2017, 2020)
  • AS Roma (2017, 2020)
  • Mkers (2018, 2020)
  • Hashtag United (2018, 2020)
  • FC Basel 1893 eSports (2018, 2020)
  • Blue United eFC (2018, 2020)

Manchester City equalled Brondby IF's record for the most appearances in the eClub World Cup with his third qualification, having already competed in 2017 and 2019.

Compared to last year's event, 2v2 matches were introduced that will bring even higher the level of spectacle and competitiveness, eliciting great emotions among players and fans" said Adrian R'lli, Head of eFootball FIFA.

  • February 7: Round 1 – 3 Group Stages
  • February 8: Round 4 – 5 Group Stages, Round of 16
  • February 9: Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, Finals
