Nacon today announced the development by the KT Racing studio of WRC 9,the new edition of the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship; The game will be available on September 3 on current consoles, but is also in development for next-generation consoles.

The publisher promises several improvements and new features, including 3 new rallies (Japan, New Zealand, Kenya), more than 50 official teams with their liveries and over 15 bonus cars that have left their mark on the history of this competition. Here are the official features:

  • An improved and even more challenging Career Mode - Hailed as one of the best racing game career modes, the WRC 8 was very well received by rally fans. This mode will return to WRC 9 with improved gameplay mechanics, new opportunities to advance your team, a wider variety of events, and proximity to what world championship teams do each year during the even more marked season.
  • Many new content - WRC 9 will include more content, such as the three new events added to the calendar: the return of Kenya's iconic Safari Rally, the Japan Rally with its famous paved streets, the New Zealand Rally along with the beautiful setting around it, and two other rallies with completely redesigned environments. Players will then have the opportunity to race in new classic cars, vehicles that have left an indelible mark on the history of the WRC.
  • An even more realistic gaming experience - To improve and refine some vehicle behaviors, the developers have once again set to work on the realism and physics of the cars – focusing on suspension, mass transfer and braking system – to take the authenticity of the game to a new level. This attention to detail makes sure that every behavior of the vehicle is faithfully reproduced on all surfaces and in all the conditions that can be encountered in the real league. The special attention placed on the sound will then provide a deeper and more realistic dive.

Now let's leave you to the game's announcement trailer: good viewing!
