Cyberpunk 2077: CDPR co-founder apologizes and explains what happened at launch

di Giuseppe Genga / Neural P 13 gen 2021 22:33
The controversy over the problematic launch of Cyberpunk 2077 has begun to cool down, and perhaps that's why Marcin Iwiński- co-founder of CD Projekt RED along with Michał Kiciński- thought it was the best time to expose himself publicly by posting a video in which he takes responsibility for what happened and explains how things went before the launch.

In the 5-minute movie, which you can see below subtitled in Italian, Iwiński explains why the study came to the conclusion that the game was ready for launch and what the next steps will be: from this point of view there are no new revelations: as we knew, two patchesare coming in January and February, 1.1 and 1.2, which will solve most of the most important problems, after which there will be the continuous release of updates and improvements over time.

As for the already announced free DLCs,the entrepreneur explains that the intention of the studio was to publish them immediately after the launch of the game, as happened with The Witcher 3, but given the problems of the launch they decided to focus on solving these by postponing the DLCs to the next few months. Iwiński also confirms that the expected next-gen update for the new consoles will arrive during 2021, in the second half of the year to be precise, but did not want to commit to a precise date.

Let's leave you to the movie.
