IIDEA, an association created to promote the video game industry in Italy, has announced that as part of the "First Playable" event to be held on July 1st and 2nd and which aims to connect Italian studios with the most important international publishers and investors, the new edition of the Italian Video Games Awards willtake place,the award for the best Italian video games and video game professionals.

The ceremony will be held live streaming from the 'Museum of Ancient Ships' of Pisa, housed in the halls and spans of the Medici Arsenals, thus combining the world of video games with that of ancient archaeology, which recalls navigation and discovery.

These are the categories that will be awarded by a jury of 8 journalists and international professionals:

• Best Italian Game: award for best Italian video game
• Best Italian Debut Game: award for best Italian first work
• Best Innovation: award for the most innovative Italian video game
• Outstanding Individual Contribution:award to the single Italian professional who has distinguished himself most at national and/or international level
• Outstanding Italian Company:award for the Italian development studio that has distinguished itself most at national and/or international level.
