More news from the San Diego Comic-Con, this time from BioWare's Conference on the new Mass Effect , which the authors hold to clarify it is called Mass Effect 4 . We finally have the first information about the history of the game, discovering that this will take place in parallel to the events of the original trilogy, but not involving Shepard. It seems then that there will be neither a prequel nor a (already unlikely seen the way concludes the trilogy) sequel: live at the same time of Commander Shepard, but with a different protagonist and, surely, in completely different locations. Developers do not exclude, however, the cameo of some character already seen in the past.

We discover that the multi terrain vehicle Mako will make his comeback, this time in a seemingly much faster version: it seems that the game will allow us to freely explore extremely large environments, whereby the Mako will aim to move quickly between the one and the other. This makes us realize that, instead of travelling with the ship between location contained large, but once landed on a planet we can move between several distant settlements.

About the multiplayer component, developers have stated that, while considering the important competitive multiplayer, what will the main efforts is the cooperative component, considered far more important. On the technical front it was explained that the use of 3 Frostbyte is allowing graphs and animators to create things that you thought possible until now: the ultimate goal is to give the player greater freedom and choice as possible.

BioWare finally concluded by explaining that the game will only come from "several years", so until then, a lot could change, including some of the things said in this occasion. We show you some pictures taken during the presentation.
