Sheltered is a post-apocalyptic survival game, with some very complicated mechanics that put him squarely in the genre roguelike. In the title, you will find familiar elements, such as finding resources, object creation, the construction and operation of a shelter, but familiarity over. Sheltered does not focus on individual survivors, but on a joint household.
The game begins with two adults, two children and a trusted pet. You can choose how to customize the members of your family, choosing the appearance, gender, traits and names. Sheltered moves into hard times, but deal with them as a family creates some real emotional connections, making everyday decisions important and difficult!
What will you do when your child will be hungry, but you'll be without food? Your dog, faithful friend and reliable, is hungry: must fast for the sake of the rest of the family? Or maybe it will end up being used as food?
In Sheltered , the goal is to survive, but venturing outside is as important as knowing how to tighten their belts. In the desolation of the world you will find survivors like you, but also people who just hunger for violence. Someone will try to break into your shelter, so you'll have to commit to create effective strategies, setting traps and building of "panic room" for your family members. Every moment of Sheltered provides an opportunity to improve their situation, or to make it collapse like a House of cards!
Sheltered has no mercy. If one of the members of the family dies, there is nothing to do. You can only try to make sure those were resistant. The game ends when everyone died. How can you survive?
