Ricky Haggett, founder of a video game called Honeyslug, today announced Loot Rascals , roguelike fiction that will be available on PS4 during the first months of 2017. Loot Rascals is a story about friendship, loss and redemption in space ". Is a roguelike game set in a world hostile alien, where you will take the role of a survivor of the accident of his rocket ship, which tries to escape and return to space.

The game consists of two main aspects. The first concerns the exploration of the planet, the discovery of its hexagonal surface and fights against a bunch of wacky aliens, monsters and robots. If you can defeat them all, you earn a haul, i.e. a set of schematic cards by which you can get all the skills.

Choose which cards to keep and use to defend against enemies requires strategic planning, and this is the second aspect of the game. As you build your character's equipment and enhanced skills, you'll have to decide what benefits you can do without and convert those cards into valuable resources needed to heal.

But one of the most interesting aspects is that in this game the enemies you can plunder! And when this happens, the cards that we steal are carried on a cloud and then end up in someone else's game. When you manage to defeat an Elite Baddie in Loot Rascals , you will get a card that belonged to another player and that he had already been taken by that evil character. The rogues steal only higher level cards, so it will be something you won't want to totally give it away. At this point, however, comes into play: the consciousness returned to its rightful owner or you keep?

It is a decision not to be taken lightly because it has consequences. In fact in Loot Rascals each character has a Holographic Agent, that is a copy of itself that is controlled by a computer that can appear in the others. If you decide to keep the card of another player, you may have to face their angry hologram, that will try to kill you and saccheggiarvi. Or, if you behave yourself with a player and you have returned your card, maybe her hologram could decide to help you for a while ...
