Randy Varnell , creative director at Gearbox Software , announced that FPS Battleborn will no longer receive new content and that the media will end with the upgrade planned for the fall. Varnell added that the team is involved in an important project (most likely Borderlands 3 ) where he will have a "significant role" , assuring however that game servers will remain active for a long time.

The update available in autumn will add, in addition to various game balancing, some skins based on characters from the series of Borderlands .

Please note that Battleborn since June is playable through a free trial which allows you to play in all multiplayer modes and maps, but without the ability to choose the characters, making them available six at a time in rotation, and with the ability to purchase them via the in-game currency.
