A few days ago showed a rumor from the Canadian chain Walmart on a series of games that could be announced at E3 or a little earlier and among these included, in the surprise of all, even RAGE 2 , sequel to the great id Software FPS released in 2010. Some recent tweets from Bethesda make us now understand that the announcement of the game may be imminent.

Let's go with order. Just after the leak of Walmart, the official Twitter channel for RAGE, dormant for years and emptied of all previous posts, posted a response to the Canadian chain highlighting jokingly as the cover of the game used a wrong font and not everything capitalized, the wrong background (totally black) and as lacking the age rating. The tweet has refuted (but not confirmed) though the existence of the game and, important note, the whole thing was written in a Pink-Purple (the color I would call nerds Hollywood Cerise ). Here is the tweet:

Why does the color of lettering is so important? Simple, because in this tweet was followed yesterday a series of mysterious post from the official channel Bethesda (Publisher of RAGE) presenting the normal photo (Big Ben, a rocket, a pedestrian crossing) but all colored with that same shade rose and in which is hidden in different ways the number "5-14", which could mean May 14 . If the first response at Walmart could therefore be initially held a simple reaction goliardica, subsequent Betheda tweets, related to that post from the dominant colour, suggest something more serious and concrete.

Update : just after the publication of our news, Bethesda has released a further tweet that contains the color of the other nor the number 5-14 but shows us a cosplayer dressed as one of the characters in RAGE. This is definitely the most direct reference made so far, and strengthens the hypothesis that something bubble is brewing regarding the number of id Software.

That RAGE 2 is actually about to be announced, perhaps next Monday, on May 14? We'll find out in a few days.

If you made the announcement, however, it is possible that we will be able to play the title itself by the end of this year: Bethesda has in fact the policy of keeping secret game development and then announce them only when there are only a few months at the exit. Of course we hope it is really so: we will keep you informed!
