The new Need for Speed is expected to be announced tomorrow at 3 p.m., and today EA has posted the "premiere" video on YouTube in which the trailer will be shown; Through the thumbnails of this video we discover, however, that the game will be called Need for Speed: Heat (or maybe even just NFSHeat, as the logo in the image above would suggest), and thanks to this revelation we discover that a leak of information last month could be real.

The leak, posted on July 11 by the YouTube channel LP-RIPPER24,anticipated that the title would be called Need for Speed:Heat, revealing a range of other information about the game that, at this point, could prove true.

The author of the leak explains that the game will have "an 80sflavor" and that it is developed by Ghost Games, which will use what it did with this title as the basis for other future NFS. We can then see it as a "technological reboot" of the entire series; Graphically it will be better than NFS Payback and there will be rain with effects such as water on the asphalt, reflections and so on.

The title will be open world and will have a more adult and serious history than in the past; there will be no day/night cycle and the time of day will be linked to the races we will take part in throughout history. The game will obviously have an online component but it will not always be online and can be paused. As for the gameplay, all the distinctive elements of the series will return: drifting through the use of the brake, which has now become more responsive, unlocking new parts of vehicles as we level up, chasing with the police (in the Free driving mode) and illegal Pro Street races.

For now, title of the game aside, it would only be rumours: tomorrow we will find out what is true.
