Sony finally reveals PS5 interface
Less than a month after launch, we're excited to share the absolute preview of the PlayStation 5 user experience. The new user experience (UX) is fully player-focused, giving you a true next-generation experience with greater engagement that allows you to quickly connect with great games and a community of passionate gamers.
We believe that your game time is valuable and should be meaningful, so all the new features we've developed are inspired by this idea and vision. The new UX introduces several new features designed to make your gaming experiences more fun, engaging, personalized, and socialized. One of the highlights is the new Control Center, which gives you instant access to just everything you need in your system with a single Push of the PlayStation button on your DualSense controller, all without leaving the game. We've also added a new feature, Activities, designed to bring you closer to key elements of the gameplay. Activities appear through on-screen tabs in Control Center, allowing you to discover new game opportunities, go back to things you didn't notice, start the levels or challenges you want to play, and more. Some Activity tabs are available in "image mode in the image", so you can view them without having to leave the game.
Interface navigation, switching between games, and access to online games happen quickly thanks to the redesign of the console and network software components, which ensure a next-generation experience in every respect. By spending less time waiting to interact with the system, you'll have more time to play.
With our demonstration video we'd like to offer a preview of a part of the PS5 UX adventure, so we hope you enjoy this presentation. Keep in mind that what's shown takes place in a pre-production environment, so there may be a few minor changes, but you can get an idea of what to expect when PS5 is available in November.
