After announcing it at gamescom, EA announced today in surprise that the new shooter Plants vs Zombies: The Battle of Neighborville is available for purchase on the PS Store in a "Founder's Edition" which, priced at 29.99 Euros, allows the most passionate players to get exclusive rewards before the arrival of the standard edition (which will cost 39.99 Euros and that you will not have to buy if you take this version) on October 18.

These are the features of The Founder's Edition, revealed by EA:

"With Founder's Edition, you'll be playing for six weeks with weekly content that we'll release as we approach the world launch on October 18. Get exclusive rewards during the first four weeks when you sign in (you need to sign in every week to redeem rewards), join the Founder community, and make your contributions to Make Plants vs Zombies: The Battle of Neighborville even better simply by playing.

We're going to see some good ones! You'll also be one of the first in the neighborhood to experience the game: even Zombotron will be envious when he learns. During the six weeks of new content you'll be able to enjoy 20 fully customizable character categories in a social region, three free regions, one PvE mode, and six PvP modes, including the Battle Arena, with the Co-op Screen with each Mode.

How do you become a Neighborville founder? Simple:

• Get the Founder's Edition, available only digitally and only available from September 4-30
• Play for six weeks packed with brand new content, from September 4 to October 17: your progress will be maintained in the standard version of the game
