It was obvious, but so far it had not been made official: today Sony officially announced that its next console will be called PlayStation 5,also confirming that it will arrive in the autumn of 2020,the same period already announced by Microsoft for its Project Scarlett: a period of fire is expected at the end of next year!

But that's not all: Sony also took the opportunity to reveal that the new console will have an improved controller, with a particular tactile feedback that will allow us to "feel" all the harshness and resistance offered by the various environments of variable resistance triggers that will allow each game to better adapt the experience for players.

The manufacturer then wanted to clarify that the already announced support for ray-tracing will be implemented atthe hardware level, with specific components within the GPU, finally revealing that the console will finally have an Ultra HD Blu-ray player , which will also be used to read the game discs that this time will have twice the capacity, for up to 100 GB.

Among the other novelties revealed today is a completely revised interface,in which the games themselves will inform us of different novelties without starting them, a new installation system that will allow us to choose which parts of a game install, and above all an architecture that, thanks to the built-in SSD disc, will allow you to launch instantly and without uploading games.

In short, it seems that great things await us for the next gen: keep following us for more news!
