He's been holding fans in suspense since Sunday night, when at the end of the last online event all the players saw the entire world of Fortnite disappear into a black hole, left there watching them with no chance of doing anything until this morning. But the long-awaited Chapter 2 of the hugely popular epic title has now finally arrived, and brings with it a lot of new things.

The update, which is just under 20 GB in size,introduces a brand new mapfeaturing different aquatic areas and rivers that play a key role in gameplay. As the launch trailer for the new chapter shows, we can now drive and fight aboard speedboats, swim very fast on the water and even fish to retrieve weapons and building materials.

The map is also slightly more mountainous than the previous one, and features 13 different locations such as a military encampment, a power plant, a dense forest and even a lighthouse. But the news doesn't stop there: the map comes with a new Battle Pass that changes the progress rules in the levels, with a series of challenges to complete and medals achievable by completing specific actions.

Then there are of course new cosmetic elements such as skins and emotes, as well as brand new weapons and more explosive items that will make each shootout more destructive. Here's a summary list of what's new:

• LANCIATI IN A NEW WORLD - Choose your landing spot and explore a brand new island with 13 new locations.
• NEW GAME - swimming, fishing, speedboats and more!
• SUPPORT YOUR SQUAD - take care of your team with the Bazooka in Bende, bring your fallen teammates to safety and celebrate with new group emotes like Beats!
• EXPLOSIVE SAVENTS - Hide in the hay and dumpsters to catch your opponents off guard or make an entrance with a bang by blowing up cans of gasoline and explosive bins.
• BEST COMBAT - Go back to basics and take on enemies with a reduced arsenal. Collect resources and use them at the upgrade station to improve your weapons.
• MORE FUN, LEAST FATICA - Scale the levels of an all-new battle pass, with a new PE system and medals to collect every game.
