Bandai Namco and A24 have announced a major collaboration that will bring the universe of Elden Ring, the famous video game developed by FromSoftware, to the big screen. This film adaptation with real actors will be entrusted to the vision of writer-director Alex Garland, known for works such as Ex Machina, Civil War and the upcoming Warfare. Garland will be in charge of both the screenplay and the direction of the film.

The production team will feature Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich from DNA, joined by George R. R. Martin, who contributed to the game's original mythology, and Vince Gerardis. The original video game, led by FromSoftware's Hidetaka Miyazaki, has captivated worldwide audiences since its launch on February 25, 2022, reaching the figure of over 30 million copies sold.
