Embark Studios today announced an interesting initiative for all players waiting for the extraction shooter ARC Raiders: it is the Server Slam, a limited-time stress test that will be held from October 17 to 19. The event will allow developers to test the game infrastructure in view of the launch, set for October 30th.

During this stress test, open to all without the need for pre-registration, we will have the opportunity to dive into the deadly game world of ARC Raiders. We will be able to decide whether to team up with other players or venture alone, experimenting with the progression, creation and mission systems that the title will offer. As an incentive for participating, Embark Studios will give all players an exclusive cosmetic backpack, which will be unlocked directly in the full game upon purchase. It is important to note that progress made during the Server Slam will not carry over to the final version of the game.

Coinciding with this announcement, the studio has kicked off pre-orders for the game starting today, September 22. Two versions are available: the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition. Both editions, if pre-ordered, will grant access to the "Lucky Duck Bundle", which includes an exclusive backpack and pendant. The Deluxe Edition will also contain legendary outfits, backpacks, emotes and other exclusive cosmetic items to better customize our Raider.

The goal of this Server Slam, as explained by the development team, is to make sure that at the launch on October 30 every player can have a polished, balanced and problem-free experience. We leave you with the announcement trailer of this event.
