Remedy took advantage of the Summer Game Fest stage to show us a new trailer for CONTROL Resonant, the fascinating new title arriving on September 24th.

The new film, titled Manhattan Paranatural, takes us into a distorted and surreal version of New York. To guide us on this journey there is the narrative voice of Emily Pope, already appeared in the first chapter and now interim director of the Federal Bureau of Control, who will collaborate closely with the new protagonist, Dylan Faden. Taking on the role of Dylan, we will have to enter an open and incredibly vast sandbox, the largest ever made by the Finnish studio. Paranatural Manhattan is divided into visually heterogeneous biomes: we will move from the surface to underground depths, even reaching dimensions unknown to humanity and facing unique enemy factions in each area.

Exploring these environments promises an ever-changing gaming experience. We will have to complete main missions, solve complex puzzles, face dynamic boss fights and devote ourselves to secondary quests, such as hunting for rebel Altered Objects. The title will offer great freedom of choice on how and what to pursue to progress in the adventure. We'll also have the opportunity to discover new sections of the Oldest House, the enigmatic structure that served as the scene of the events of the first CONTROL. As pointed out by Creative Director Mikael Kasurinen, the development team wanted to infuse the project with the same atmosphere as the progenitor, enriching the world-building and bringing back beloved locations and characters.

To crown the announcement there is also an exceptional sound sector. The trailer is accompanied by "Manalan Mailla", an unreleased song performed by acclaimed Finnish ethno-pop artist Vilma Jää, co-written with Teemu Brunila and Jurek. The track, already available on major streaming platforms, draws inspiration from the runonlaulu choral tradition and includes pastoral references, combining folklore and catchy melodies.

We leave you with the new trailer and a set of images. Enjoy the viewing!
