Bethesda today announced that, with the milestone of its 68th free update, Fallout 76 will introduce the challenging new Infestations mode, which will bring large-scale invasions to Appalachia.

Infestations are a dynamic mode designed to put even the most experienced to the test. In fact, we will face dangerous invasions of hostile factions that will take control of different areas of the map.

During our explorations in Appalachia, we will organically come across these numerous Infestations, thus being launched into intense battles with a style similar to mini-raids. We will have to deal with unpredictable enemies and powerful elite bosses, characterized by mutations and completely new mechanics. To push us to reclaim familiar areas from enemy forces, the game will provide us with exclusive four-star legendary rewards.
