ARC Raiders announces first update, North Line; All the details
The North Line update first introduces a new map, Stella Montis. This frontier expands north of the Rust Belt, inviting us to explore abandoned structures that, unlike the wrecks of the Rust Belt, appear strangely pristine. Cold, barren and steeped in mystery, these ruins will challenge us to discover the truth buried within them and recover rare resources.
To access Stella Montis, however, we will first have to gain access. The tunnels leading to the new region, in fact, will only open when the global community has completed the "Breaking New Ground" event, which will also begin on November 13 at 10:30 am. We will have to join forces to help Speranza rebuild the connections.
As we contribute resources to the initiative, we will earn "Merits", a new event currency. The unlock date for Stella Montis will be determined by community progress and will trigger Phase II of the event, "Staking Our Claim," a new progression track with rewards and challenges that will remain available for a limited time, until December.
The update also introduces two new ARC enemies. The Matriarch, a towering ARC that will apparently make the Queen look friendly, will be available from the start of Breaking New Ground. Then there will be the Shredder, an exclusive enemy of Stella Montis who will only appear when the new region opens, forcing us to remain vigilant in close combat.
In addition to these threats, we will have access to new equipment, such as the Aphelion Rifle, new mines (Pulse Mine, Deadline Mine, Gas Mine) and grenades (Trailblazer Grenade, Seeker Grenade). New Stella Montis-themed Questlines will also be introduced.
North Line is just the beginning of the ARC Raiders post-launch roadmap. Embark Studios has already teased that the next update, Cold Snap, will arrive in December and will introduce the "Flickering Flames" event, the new snow map condition, the long-awaited Expedition Project Raider reset, and much more.
We leave you with the teaser announcement of the update and a set of images.
