It seems that Capcom still does not want to interrupt the very successful series of remakes of the Resident Evil series; the reliable insider Dusk Golem has in fact returned to share rumors about the future of the saga, revealing that the next chapters to receive a remake operation would be those of Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil Zero.

According to what was revealed by the insider, the two games would be scheduled for a release in the two-year period 2027/2028. At the moment, it is not yet clear which of the two titles will be published first, but the insider said he was very confident about the accuracy of this information.

In another talk, Dusk Golem added more details, answering a question related to a possible Revelations 3. It seems that a Revelations 3 reboot has actually been in development for a few months, but that the project was canceled in 2022 because it was "not coming out well". The development team would therefore have preferred to focus its forces on Resident Evil 4, on the next main chapter Resident Evil Requiem and, indeed, on the remakes of Code Veronica and Zero.
