During the TGAs, the new expansion of Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred was shown on video, the second major expansion of Diablo IV to be released on April 28, 2026 which will bring with it numerous new features, including the arrival of two new classes, one of which is the Paladin, available immediately to those who pre-order the expansion.

This new chapter will represent the grand finale of the "Age of Hatred Saga", leading us to the decisive clash against the Lord of Hatred. The adventure will take us to the ancient lands of Skovos, the birthplace of the first civilization and, a decidedly interesting aspect for the lore, the former home of Lilith and Inariustag. And speaking of unexpected returns, the trailer suggested that in addition to Mephisto we will also see Lilith again, a revelation that took many by surprisetag.

But Blizzard didn't just talk about the distant future. With the start of Season 11, entitled "Divine Intervention" and started tonight in conjunction with the event, the Paladin class has been made availabletag. However, there is one condition: in order to immediately take on the role of the sacred warrior we will have to pre-order the Lord of Hatred expansiontag. The Paladin looks exactly as historical fans remember him: a heavy fighter, armed with a sword and shield, capable of delivering decisive blows in melee and using iconic abilities such as the Blessed Hammers, the Auras, Blessed Shield and Fury of Heaven, all revised with modern and fluid animations.

The news does not end there, because Blizzard has anticipated that the Paladin is only one of the two new classes planned. With the launch of the expansion in 2026, a second new class will arrive, of which we currently know nothing except that it will be, presumably, something never seen before in the universe of the series, similar to what happened with the Spiritwalker.

On the gameplay front, the update will bring substantial changes. We will see the return of the legendary Horadrim Cube, which will enhance the crafting system, and the introduction of a "Loot Filter" system, a feature loudly requested by the community to be able to see only the loot relevant to your classtag. There are also reworked skill trees, an increase in the level cap and new endgame systems such as "War Plans" and the "Echoing Hatred" gauntlettag. Finally, in a note of color that is almost surreal, the addition of fishing has been confirmed: we will therefore be able to take a break from combat to fish in the putrid waters of Sanctuary.

We leave you with the trailer shown during the TGA.
