At TGA Remedy finally lifted the curtain on Control RESONANT, the next big title that will expand the narrative universe of Control, coming in 2026. This new chapter marks the next phase of the series, with an action-RPG approach, the arrival of a new protagonist, a completely new setting and, of course, a new supernatural crisis to face.

In Control RESONANT we will no longer play the role of Jesse Faden , but we will take control of his brother, Dylan Faden. Years after being confined by the Federal Bureau of Control, Dylan is called into question at the time of a supernatural catastrophetag. A mysterious cosmic force is distorting Manhattan, creating a geophysical nightmare that twists gravity and reshapes the streetstag.

We will have to take advantage of Dylan's newly discovered abilities to face this and other threats related to his past and the forces that have held him prisonertag. His adventure will be focused on identity and power, and will see him engaged not only in dealing with the crisis, but also in searching for his sister, FBC Director Jesse Faden, in the general chaostag.

The trailer also revealed Dylan's primary weapon: the Aberrant. It is a "living" and shape-shifting melee weapon, capable of splitting, extending and changing shape on demandtag. Combined with Dylan's growing supernatural abilities, this element will ensure fast-paced, physical combat that takes Control's gameplay to the next leveltag.

But that's not all: Control RESONANT expands on the foundations of the first game by transforming it into a full third-person action-RPG. The action takes place in a version of Manhattan warped by paranormal phenomenatag. We will be able to explore interconnected areas, reveal hidden events and upgrade the abilities of Dylan and his weapon through deep progression systemstag. These systems will allow us to define our playstyle, focusing on melee power, skill-based agility, environmental manipulation, or combining all of these possibilitiestag.

While Control RESONANT continues the larger mythology already introduced in Control, it was still developed to be a new entry point to the series. Those unfamiliar with the first game can start here , though longtime fans will recognize threats, familiar characters, and echoes of the past woven into Dylan's story and the world around himtag.
